Get Healthy Initiative program educates students to take an active role in developing healthy lifestyle patterns. |
Outcomes
- Students performed approximately 4,849 hours of physical fitness activities. While participating in the PARK program, students were required to perform a minimum of 1 hour 15 minutes of physical activity weekly.
Lives Affected
200 PARK students and their families, along with an additional 27 staff members, participated in a series of exercise-focused activities and health workshops. These projects also impacted approximately 550 non–PARK students through the activities associated with a basketball league and the PARK Blue & You Last Mile walk.
Cost Effectiveness
It cost less than $10 per hour per child of physical fitness provided.
