Healthy Outcomes Promoted Through Education (HOPE) program provides obesity clinics for children. |
Outcomes
- Served 970 students in the “Body Walk” program.

Placed videos on health lifestyles in 23 elementary school libraries.

Organized 21 active walking clubs.

Provided transportation for children to 24 exercise classes.
Lives Affected
Served 1,200 elementary school students and over 500 citizens in the walking club.
Cost Effectiveness
Roughly $5.50 was expended per participant in the walking club, comprised mainly of purchase of manuals and pedometers. The video sets distributed to the school libraries cost $195 each.
